Just like rent is too damn high in NYC, milestones are just too damn fast with a baby.
I was totally going to write this at 6 months, and now I didn’t even make it in time for 7 months!
Am I am bad dad, blogger or both? Hmm…I mean we did move to Miami, camp out at the in laws for a month, and move into a new place.
So GIVE ME A BREAK. I can’t take your judging. And I’m not projecting. YOU ARE.
Anyways, little guy is a freakin ball of cuddle giggles! He’s a joy machine, except when he cries, but usually it’s for a good reason.
He’s very particular about his music in the car when he’s in a mood though. SUCH A DIVA!
Nick name up date:

He’s a badass – army commando crawler, and can pinwheel around like a champ, especially in bed with mommy and daddy where he uses our bodies to kick off of.
Oh and he’s gotten real good at eye gouges and bitch slaps when he lays down with us in bed.
He also likes to grab our faces and suck on parts of them, pull hair and put hands in our mouths.
I want him to crawl real bad. But my future self is like what’s your problem, don’t you know your cortisol will shoot through the roof? Chill out and enjoy the stationary rocking hump, and slow scoot backward.
His favorite activities are:
- being thrown up and down
- loves when we sing to him, baby shark, twinkle twinkle little star etc…less into Pearl Jam
- Hanging out in his office (His Skip Hop Play Activity Center)
- Going out and flirting (he was fixated on some grandma’s fake jugs at the bagel place – I mean they didn’t look like grandma jugs so I don’t blame him – I guess that’s Miami for you)
- being stood up…seriously will go stiff like a board when we try and sit him
- AND he can sit on his own! Except when he falls and you have to catch him like a ninja
Milestones:
- First beach trip
- Eating solid foods (see recipe recco below)
- Drooling like its his job
- Saying Dada (mama will not admit he’s talking to me…we’ll let her think that…)
- Sitting Up Straight
- Filing his Own Taxes
Stuff we like:
- Baby Foodie Website – this guy is eating great homemade meals in between organic pouches – lovely recipee ideas (thanks for making our baby real food boo!)
- The Rest – This is a smart sound machine light thing – he loves sleeping to the lullaby, and we love being able to switch it to white noise after so we do’t go crazy
- Yoyo travel stroller – this thing was awesome on flights and we could use it with our infant Anton Cybex Carseat
- Finally him having his own room! We made this switch a couple weeks ago and its a joy having our own space again
- Recording us singing his favorite songs, so we can play them back in the car when he cries
- Baby Shark – stops him from crying real fast
Stuff we haven’t liked
- First pediatrician in Miami who was paranoid about us having a plant based baby and him being protein deficient. (Next!)
- Him throwing up violently last month, where we left a message for said doctor and never got a call back (double next!)
- Singing Baby Shark – singing this whole song is like a workout
